From roster to reimbursement
First rule: chart it once. Every step feeds the same student record, so nothing is documented twice.
- Import the roster. Student demographics sync from your SIS, with no hand entry.
- Capture consent online. Consent to treat and to bill Medicaid goes to parents by an email or text link, and signed consents file themselves into the record. Paper still works, scanned and uploaded.
- Build the health record. The Health-Conditions tab gathers conditions, physician orders, emergency action plans, and rescue medications with their locations, all one click away when seconds matter.
- Plan recurring care. Schedule expected visits such as daily medications, tube feedings, and diabetes checks on the calendar. Clicking a student opens the encounter.
- Chart every visit. Impromptu visits start from the same calendar. The case note timestamps the event and can be finished later, and NANDA-I diagnoses link the problem, the intervention, and the service inside the note.
- Stay caught up. The documentation overview shows green checks for complete notes, green X’s for cancelled encounters, and grey for notes still open, so outstanding charting is visible at a glance.
- Bill and report. Billable services are submitted as monthly Medicaid claims without leaving bhworks, and de-identified reports cover direct and indirect services, including staff trainings delivered.
