MDLOGIX PARTNERS WITH WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY

Clinical Studies Management System to be Implemented

Baltimore , MD---Washington University in St. Louis [1] reached an agreement to deploy the mdlogix Clinical Research Management System (CRMS) software as the university's enterprise-wide clinical studies management system. mdlogix is working closely with Washington University's Center for Clinical Studies to integrate clinical research processes across the university and its affiliate system of 13 hospitals. Implementation of a Subject Recruitment module is near completion, to be followed by a rollout of the other modules (Subject & Protocol Registry, Schema Builder, Electronic Data Collection, Financial, and Analysis).

"It is a pleasure to be working with Washington University, a prestigious and respected research institution," said mdlogix CEO Aaditya Goswami . "We have a mutual goal of accelerating clinical research to help patient care, and we are partners in this process."

The mdlogix CRMS has breadth and depth in the functionality required across the enterprise research management process. It is a powerful, user-friendly system that all research roles (principal investigators, study coordinators, research nurses, financial managers, data managers, recruiting staff, pharmacy staff, regulatory staff, and other core center staff) will want to utilize. The system is a scalable, configurable, enterprise-level, Web-based solution to facilitate effective collaboration within and between institutions.

The mdlogix system improves work flow and decreases duplication of effort, produces tools and templates for budget and protocol development, enhances the use of leading research practices, and promotes compliance with regulatory authorities. The mdlogix objective to accelerate clinical research will be empowered by the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) program and mdlogix client work with other CTSA recipients, including Johns Hopkins University. The implementation of the Washington University Clinical Studies Management System is being lead by James A. Moran, JD, CPA, assistant dean for clinical trials.
